How it works
Surface area, doing the work
Pyrolysis drives everything volatile out of the wood and leaves behind a rigid carbon skeleton riddled with pores. That structure gives a single cubic inch of activated biochar an internal surface area measured in hundreds of square metres.
Contaminants — chlorine, odour compounds, organic impurities — are attracted to that surface and held there. It is the same principle behind the carbon block in an expensive under-counter filter, in a form you can boil, reuse, and eventually bury in the garden.

What biochar does — and what it doesn't
Plenty of natural filtration products are sold on claims they cannot support. We would rather tell you the limits up front, because the limits are where you decide whether this product suits you.
What PURIFi does

- It does not kill or remove bacteria and viruses

- Use it with water that is already safe to drink
If you need water made microbiologically safe, you need disinfection — boiling, chlorination or a certified purifier. PURIFi is a taste, odour and impurity product. We will tell you that before you buy rather than after.
Beyond the shelf
Biochar at project scale
The retail range is the visible end of the business. The rest of it is kilns, feedstock logistics and catchment work — biomass valorisation for farms, forestry operations, municipalities and corporates with an ESG mandate and a real problem to solve.
We size the kiln, model the economics before anyone commits capital, and build the offtake path so the char has somewhere to go.
